About me

I am a composer with a passion for storytelling through themes. I love writing rich melodic textures and creating dramatic moments that evolve with a good story. As a composer I have had the honor of having my music performed by renowned artists such as PRISM quartet, Tyshawn Sorey, Susie Ibarra, the Leos String Quartet, New England Conservatory chamber ensembles, Northeastern University Orchestra and Wind Ensemble. My compositions have been showcased in various countries, including America, France, the UK, and Australia.

My Story

I started my music journey as a kid. I fell in love with the scores like the Chronicles of Narnia by Harry Gregson-Williams, Lord of the Rings by Howard Shore, and Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron by Hans Zimmer. I would always try to recreate the wonder I felt hearing those themes, at first through performances, then through arrangements, and finally through my own compositions. This led to orchestration and counterpoint lessons, and a strong background in music theory that helped me understand the music I loved better.

As a composer, I'm fascinated with writing very thematic music. I love how themes can develop with stories and be twisted and hidden within scores to foreshadow what might happen next. In short, I love to create very intentional music. Every note has a purpose and should drive momentum and storytelling on the tenth listen just as much as the first.

I have a special love for music that invites thought and interaction. While this is usually heard in the way I layer melodic material in my compositions, it is especially true for dynamic game music. When writing for games, I focus building a track that is meant change with the player through intentional choices in implementation, harmonic structures, orchestrations, and theme incorporations.

Ultimately, I love making music because I love storytelling. There is nothing more satisfying than engaging with a story on profound level and I want my music to be part of that.
